Catalin Kilofliski, President, CEO, Director and Founder
Mr. Kilofliski has over 25 years of senior leadership and extensive expertise in mining, senior management, capital markets and corporate development within several publicly listed junior exploration companies. Most recently, he has served as the Director Corporate Development for TSX.V listed Tudor Gold Corp and was instrumental in growing the company from $30 million to over $500 million in market capitalization. Prior to that, he was the CEO of TSX Listed Canarc Resource Corp. and served as Director Corporate Development for TSX listed Aurcana Corporation and Selwyn Resources Ltd. In the last decade he has helped raise over $300M in equity, debt and JV capital and was instrumental in creating significant shareholder value for various junior mining companies.
Based in Vancouver, BC, Canada, Mr. Kilofliski’s academic background includes earning a BA degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Economics, Bucharest, Romania.
Deepak Malhotra, Ph.D., Chair of the Board of Directors
Mr. Malhotra is a world-renowned mineral processing expert with over 40 years of mining industry experience. He holds a Ph.D, in Mineral Economics and a M.S. in Metallurgical Engineering. He has managed projects in research, process development for new projects, processing plant troubleshooting, plant audits, detailed engineering and overall business management. He has helped commercialize tens of mineral processing plants with capital ranging from $15 to $750M and has performed more than twenty-five audits of mining operations worldwide. He holds four patents and has published over 60 articles and edited several books.
Jose Mario Castelo Branco, Exploration Manager
Mr. Branco is a senior geologist with over 38 years of experience. He is the managing partner of Geologia e Geotecnia Consultores, a boutique consulting firm specializing in mineral exploration based in Portugal. Prior to that, Mr. Branco was the Regional Exploration Manager, Europe for Lundin Mining overseeing Lundin Mining projects in Iberia and Europe. He led the team credited with discovering the new VHMS Semblana mineral deposit near Lundin’s Neves Corvo mine. Mr Branco also acted as exploration manager for Rio Narcea which was subsequently acquired by Lundin Mining. Prior to that he was a senior project geologist for BP Minerals/Rio Tinto and was a senior member of the team credited with discovering of the Las Cruces Cu-Au VHMS deposit in southern Spain and in the Gralheira intrusion-related gold deposit in northern Portugal.
Mr. Branco has authored and co-authored several technical publications. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Porto University in Portugal and was invited as a lecturer at the Geology Department of the Braga University.
Andy Marshall, CA, CFA, Director & Chair of Audit Committee
Mr. Marshall is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with over 15 years of experience in public company corporate governance, capital markets and technical oversight. He is currently the CFO of First Mining Gold where he assisted in building the company’s gold project portfolio during its initial period of growth in 2015 when it acquired eight companies in just over one year. Prior to this, Andy held roles at two Vancouver based TSX/NYSE MKT-listed silver mining companies with operations in Mexico and Canada. He began his career in public company auditing and assurance with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, training in the London technology, entertainment and mining practice before moving to Vancouver and joining their mining practice in 2008. Andy graduated from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in England with a BA (Hons).
Lisa Stewart, Director
Ms. Stewart is a partner at a national Canadian law firm, Bennett Jones LLP, and has over 15 years of experience advising public and private companies on a broad range of matters, including corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, continuous disclosure matters and other regulatory requirements. Ms. Stewart holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of British Columbia and is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia.
John Paul (JP) Dau, Director
J.P. is an established professional with significant international operating experience in the mining industry. Mr. Dau’s accomplished role as an entrepreneurial executive in both the private and public sectors has garnered a niche for project generation. He has a unique ability to source and structure deals by leveraging strategic relationships, operational knowledge of foreign jurisdictions, understanding of M&A transactions and IPO transitions. JP is a director of TDG Gold. JP was also President and co-founder of Angkor Gold, a junior explorer that acquired and developed numerous mining assets in Asia.
Mihai Draguleasa, CPA, CFO, Corporate Secretary
Mr. Draguleasa is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with over 10 years of accounting experience. He earned his CPA in Vancouver, British Columbia while working in the multinational public accounting firms Deloitte and Ernst & Young. His mining related financial work experience at Deloitte and Ernst & Young included due diligence reviews, audits, and tax recoveries projects for large and medium mining companies. He is the principal of Lazuli CPA Inc, a professional accounting corporation providing tax, financial statement compilation and other accounting related consulting services to small businesses based in BC. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Transylvania in Romania.
Walter Coles Jr. Advisory Board Chair
Mr. Coles is the CEO of TSX-listed Skeena Resources (TSX:SKE ~$800M Mk. Cap.). He has also served as CEO and President for several Toronto Stock Exchange-listed junior mining exploration and development companies. Mr. Coles entered the mining business as part of an effort to develop a mineral resource discovered on family farmland in Virginia. He was previously an analyst for Cadence Investment Partners, from 2005 through to 2007. Prior to that Mr. Coles worked for UBS Investment Bank in New York as a Senior Research Analyst in the bank’s High Yield Group. Mr. Coles started at UBS Investment Bank in 1999 as an Associate reporting to the bank’s Global Head of Fixed Income Strategy. Mr. Coles holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Richmond.
Jorge Ramiro Monroy, Advisory Board
Mr. Monroy is the CEO of TSXV listed Reyna Silver (TSXV:RSLV, ~85M Mk. Cap.). He is a Mexican mining entrepreneur and investor based in Hong Kong. He is also the Founder and Managing Director of Emerging Markets Capital, an investment firm based in Hong Kong and investing primarily in mining exploration equities listed on TSX. He was also part of the natural resources investments advisory team of the Japanese-owned Frontier Securities, advising on capital rising from Asia and the Middle East for mining and infrastructure companies with projects in Mongolia engaging with investors. Mr. Monroy holds a Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York and an MBA in Finance from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Adam Travis, Advisory Board
Mr. Travis is the CEO of TSXV listed Roughrider Exploration (TSXV:REL,~$6M Mk. Cap.). He also served as President and CEO of QuestEx Gold & Copper Ltd (TSXV:QEX, ~$40M Mk.Cap) (formerly Colorado Resources Ltd) from 2010 to 2018, and Director from 2010-2019. Mr. Travis has been involved in the exploration sector for over 30 years. Throughout his career he has worked on a number of exploration projects such as Snip, Eskay Creek and Brewery Creek which later became mines as well as numerous other advanced projects and small mines in Africa, Mexico and Alaska. He is widely recognized in the industry for his enthusiasm, project management and experience on advanced projects, target evaluation and acquisition and deal negotiating skills. Mr. Travis holds a B.Sc. Major in Geology from the University of British Columbia.
Ken Brunk, Advisory Board
Mr. Brunk’s professional career includes plus 50 years in the areas of project management and technical development as well as all levels of mining company management from shift boss to CEO. He has held executive and management positions in: Newmont Mining Corporation, Midway Gold, Romarco, Harrison Western, Bateman Engineering, Unimin, and Owens-Illinois. He has been fortunate to work with some of the finest people in the mining industry as well as those that support the industry. Mr. Brunk is currently Director/Technical Advisor of Fiore Gold Ltd. (TSXV:F ~ $100M Mk. Cap).
He is a graduate of the Michigan Technological University with a BS Degree in Metallurgical Engineering/Mineral Processing.
Daniel Bloor, Advisory Board
Mr. Bloor, a geologist, is the CEO of Livista Energy, a European Lithium Chemical Refiner company. Mr. Bloor has founded, financed and managed new ventures in both domestic and international marketplaces ranging from Europe, Hong Kong, China, Australia and Africa. He has extensive fundraising and networking experience with specialty in both early stage and scaled growth stage projects and businesses. Mr. Bloor is also the co-founder and Director of The Cloud Miner, an integrated mining consulting and software company established to assist with the valuation and assessment of mining projects around the globe.
He holds a BSc Geology Honors from the University of Manchester and a MSc. Applied Geosciences from the University of Hong Kong.
